REBATES - PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE & MEDICARE

If you are insured with a private health fund, you may be entitled to certain rebates. This rebate depends on your level of cover and your individual fund. Please contact your fund for more information. Andrew Greenfield is registered with over 20 health funds in NSW.

Referrals to Andrew can be made by individuals, parents, schools, Paediatricians, specialist Developmental Paediatricians, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, teachers, Australian Twin Registry (ATR), Australian Multiple Births Association (AMBA) and other allied health professionals.

In some cases, rebates are available through Medicare under the Chronic Disease Management initiative - Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC) or the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative - Mental Health Care Initiative. The item number for the EPC is 10968. The item number for the MHCP is 80110 for consultations in Andrew's rooms.

In order to claim a refund from Medicare patients/clients must have been:

• Identified by their GP as having a complex chronic condition, with psychological and/or behavioural features, and for whom their GP devises a patient care plan. This referral must include both the cover letter and the mental health care forms.

OR

• Identified by their Paediatrician or Psychiatrist as having a complex chronic condition, with psychological and/or behavioural features,

RECEIPTS FOR CLAIMING

Generally consultations through PSAS are receipted as:

Consultations:  Initial Psychological Consultation or Psychological Consultation (follow-up) OR

Assessment: Initial Psychological Consultation and/or Psychological Assessment in some circumstances as appropriate. 

FEES 

Fees depend on the components of the assessment, ie Psychological Assessment, Educational Assessment or Consultation. Please contact the office for more information regarding specific fees. Please note that Payment is due on the day of the appointment either by Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard), Debit Card, Cash, cheque or bank transfer. Fees may vary without notice.

In some circumstances there are discounts for multiple assessments (i.e. siblings) and special payment plans can be arranged in some circumstances (i.e. payment in installments). For schools and other organisations specific assessment packages can be arranged. 

GST

GST is not payable on psychological services if the service is the appropriate treatment of the client/patient. When a third party, however contracts for the service, for example a child care centre, school, community health group, private organisation, etc GST must be charged.  

CANCELLATION POLICY

Psych Support Assessment Services has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours the full fee is payable unless other arrangements have been agreed to with the practice Principal.
